Welcome to the Shaggy Bear Farms! For almost 2 decades, we have raised, bred, and rescued animals from over 40 breeds of sheep, goats, rabbits, and llamas; just outside of Scio, Oregon. We have made an effort to focus on rarer, endangered, and lesser-known breeds. All the yarn and roving sold here is from our farm (except silk any silk and alpaca products) and dyed here. We do send our wool/mohair out to various mills to process it into roving and yarn. Since one owner is retired and the other still has a day job, they put all proceeds back into taking care of the animals.

Please take a look at the products and feel free to e-mail or call about any product you are interested in. We can mail it to you or make sure we have product on hand for you to examine at one of the many shows we attend.

We just got our old domain back: www.shaggybearfarms.com! It is a secured (https is in front), Wordpress website. Any online sales from posted products will be through it (think Facebook live sales via WAFA or Lambtown), but please don't hesitate to contact us the old fasioned way if you can't find what you are looking for. There is no way we can put our entire stock online and it is always changing!
