When we dye, we try to use the most environmentally safe dyes, so we pick acid fast dyes. If you want to dye yourself, here is what we use and we can talk you through how we might dye a particular skein of yarn or bag of roving you purchase from us.

Dharma Dyes: Has been a go-to dye company for many years, but due to difficulty with some of the colors, we use other products more frequently now.

Jacquard Dyes: Great dyes if you want bold colors. Difficult to get subtle colors.

Country Classics Dyes: Good option we have recently started using to get more subtle tones, but very powdery (it can get everywhere if you are not careful and it makes it more difficult to "paint" yarn).

Landscapes Dyes: Good option we have also started using; currently our favorite dyes due to ease of use and great results (we can get both subtle and bold colors with ease). Our biggest complaint right now is you order the dyes from Australia and international shipping is difficult with SARS-CoV-2.
